Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Overview
Valyzen Travel acts as a technology platform that facilitates flight bookings through our airline partners. Cancellation and refund eligibility is determined by the fare rules of the airline that operates your flight. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work on our platform, including your rights under U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
2. US DOT 24-Hour Cancellation Rule
Under U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, you are entitled to a full refund if all of the following conditions are met:
- The booking was made less than 24 hours ago.
- The scheduled departure is at least 7 days from the date of booking.
- The booking has not already been cancelled or used.
If your booking qualifies, the cancellation will be processed at no charge and a full refund will be issued to your original payment method. You can check your eligibility on the booking detail page under “Cancellation Policy.”
3. How to Cancel a Booking
You can cancel a booking through the following methods:
- Online: Log in to your account, navigate to My Trips, select the booking, and click “Cancel Booking.” The system will display the applicable refund amount before you confirm.
- Email: Send a cancellation request to support@valyzen.com with your booking reference (PNR) and the email address used for booking. We will process your request within 24 hours.
4. Cancellation After the 24-Hour Window
After the 24-hour DOT window has passed (or if your flight departs within 7 days of booking), the airline’s own cancellation policy applies. Refund eligibility depends on your fare type:

The exact cancellation fee and refund amount are determined by the operating airline and will be displayed before you confirm the cancellation on our platform.
5. Refunds on Reconciled Prices
If you booked at a price our AI reconciled across duplicate vendor listings, the refund is based on the price you actually paid, not the highest listed fare. Any savings you achieved through reconciliation do not affect your refund eligibility or amount.
Valyzen’s service fee (included in the total price) is non-refundable once the booking has been confirmed with the airline, except in cases covered by the DOT 24-hour rule.
6. Flight Changes & Modifications
Date changes, route changes, and passenger name corrections are subject to the airline’s change policy and may incur fees. You can request changes through the booking detail page or by contacting support@valyzen.com.
Please note that modifying a booking with a negotiated price may result in the new fare being priced at the airline’s standard rate. The negotiated discount applies only to the original booking.
7. Airline-Initiated Cancellations & Schedule Changes
If the airline cancels your flight or makes a significant schedule change (typically more than 2 hours), you are generally entitled to:
- A full refund of the fare paid, or
- Rebooking on an alternative flight at no additional cost.
We will notify you by email of any airline-initiated changes and assist with rebooking or refund processing.
8. Refund Processing Times
Once a cancellation is confirmed:
- DOT 24-hour cancellations: Refund initiated within 24 hours. Funds typically appear in 5–10 business days depending on your payment provider.
- Refundable fare cancellations: Refund initiated within 7 business days. Processing time varies by airline and payment method (up to 20 business days).
- Non-refundable fare cancellations: If any taxes or fees are refundable, they will be processed within 14 business days.
9. No-Show Policy
If you do not board your flight without cancelling in advance (“no-show”), the airline will typically forfeit the entire fare. Any remaining segments of the itinerary (including return flights) may also be cancelled by the airline. We strongly recommend cancelling in advance if you cannot travel, as some refund may still be available depending on the fare type.
10. Disputes & Complaints
If you believe a refund has been incorrectly denied or processed, please contact us at support@valyzen.com with your booking reference. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.
You may also file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Transportation at airconsumer.dot.gov for issues related to airline cancellation and refund rights.
